Tony at Waxeye gave me a bell. He needed a hand creating a series of TVCs for Flip. I dropped in and got up to speed. “A few characters” he says. I says “Okay, how many?” And he says “40… more or less.”
I don’t think I’ve created so many elements in such a short amount of time! I did it though. And I jumped into a bit of animation. Characters mostly. The TVCs were delivered and there were smiles all ’round.
I had a lot of fun creating these illustrations. There are a few classic New Zealand references as well as nods to famous peeps. Personal fave is the old man with red beads (check me out in 25 years… Flip!)
